Woahs! I totally forgot that it was Spirit Day today @__@ *spits out artwork done just a few hours ago* Anyway, a kind of motivational poster towards the anti-bullying cause this is ^^The bottom, in case people can't read it, says "Say no to bullying and Yes to dressing as Kappas." ^^ Always choose Kappas over bullying.
I've noticed from the other works submitted that people were telling their stories on bullying and how they were often victims, so I guess I'll share mine. In elementary school, I had just come to Canada so I knew no English whatsoever. I hung out with a group of people of the same ethnicity where all of them were male except one. That one other girl was the leader of the group and since I was the only other female she wouldn't let me leave! >.< Well after being the butt of pretty much all their jokes (I was a little slow back then) I found a real friend (AMU TANNNN this is you!!! Do you still remember?
) She invited me to her birthday party where I had the most fun ever! Then she moved. Then I found out I was moving to her area. I was overjoyed! Then I realized that we didn't go to the same school XP though the area was a 20 min walk away. At my new elementary school I was still shy and quiet and went out of my way to make others happy. I made two new great friends (one of whom eventually turned into my best friend~ Arinaliiiii
). Without them I don't know what I would have done.
I was a weird kid as a child despite being quiet (still proudly weird now ^^) and everyone knew. My two friends at my school would tell me how the popular people told them to stop being friends with me and to be friends with them (they never did
). Even though they'd say I was really nice to my face, I knew what they said behind my back. But you see, with such good friends that never bothered me. Eventually I stopped being nice to people/ going out of my way to do things for them. They didn't really care about me so instead I invested my time into hanging out with my real friends
Moral of my story is: friendship is awesome! If my friends weren't there to be supportive and weird with me, I don't think I would have ever survived! Thank god I made real friends! Thank god I met these wonderful people~! Epilogue: Now in high school bullying for me has subsided (I expected it to be the worst here but actually elementary school was the worst. I guess we all just grew out of it.) and I have plenty of true friends
Ok now back to the actual picture :3 It's a good thing Gumi and Roro have each other as weird friends~ I'd totally dress in a kappa jumpsuit if only someone would do it with me T^T ... and I knew where to get one >.> And yes those are staring people in the background XP They feel awkward but Gumi and Roro could not be more proud of their strangeness ^w^
